Absolutely stunning trail! You'll be rewarded with amazing mountain views, possibly larches, mountain goats, and a nice lake. The last portion of the trail requires one to scramble a little bit, but it is quite easy. I imagine under rain that might feel sketchy, though. Around maybe 1/4 of the way to the top there are two options to choose from on how to proceed. I suggest taking the left trail on the way up, and coming back through the other one.
Close to the lake there are often mountain goats.
